The Bible describes the creation of the world in seven days. In Hesse, a sevenfold miracle has now happened in the Heusser family's house, where pure happiness lives.

Central Hesse – Seven Christmas presents and seven birthday presents have to be organized each year. “And now we have the whole basement full of Easter eggs,” says Simone Heusser with a wink. Because with her husband Dennis Heusser (born in 1984), Simone Heusser (born in 1986) was lucky enough to be born seven times and achieved something unique in Bad Nauheim (Central Hesse). “I have never seen seven children in one family during my term in office,” explains Mayor Klaus Kreß during a visit to the family’s idyllic home in Nieder-Mörlen.

Lea Fabienne was born in 2008 and is already a teenager. She was followed by Joel in 2009, Luca Paul in 2014, Charlotte in 2017, Linus Maxim in 2019, Valentina Sophia in 2022 and now Eliano Hugo, who was born on January 31st this year.

Eliano Hugo was also a birthday present for father Dennis, which was actually planned for a different date. Because his birthday is on the same day as his son. And of course the first question for the happy parents is obvious. “Yes, that was all planned, desired and makes us happy,” explains Dennis Heusser, immediately dismissing the next question. »No, it's over now. An eighth child will not follow.”

All children have their own room

The number seven now shapes the life of the happy family. Simone Heusser emphasizes that a new stroller was bought for each child. Eliano Hugo has just received a state-of-the-art electric stroller as produced by the company Cybex e-Priam.

Of course, all seven children also have their own room. The house looks bright and inviting, and there are lots of toys everywhere in the rooms. Klaus Kreß and his “PR boss” Fabian Salzmann also brought additional games as gifts. The reason for the distinguished visit to the family home was the presentation of the honorary sponsorship certificate, which Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier symbolically presented on the birth of a family's seventh child. Eliano Hugo is now the Federal President's honorary godfather and has also arranged for a 500 euro gift from Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

Dad of seven, Dennis Heusser, is happy that, as an IT specialist, he can usually work from home for a Bad Homburg company. “They have been waiting for me to return for many years,” says Simone Heusser, who worked as a retail clerk at Lidl before giving presents to children.

Big purchases for Easter

It is of course clear that Dennis Heusser, who originally comes from Ober-Mörlen, will now largely have to forego his previous trips to Bad Nauheim's nightlife. But bright children's eyes replace the hustle and bustle in the old town bars and increase family happiness. At some point he may have seven daughters or sons-in-law. And neither of them wants to imagine how the number of grandchildren could multiply. During his visit, Klaus Kreß asked Joel whether he would like to have that many children one day. “No, no, no,” he replied and immediately dismissed it.

But as we all know, Simone Heusser has a good role model. EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen is also a mother of seven, and her now grown children are all very successful in their careers. When saying goodbye, you can imagine the stress that Dennis Heusser still has that day. After all, he still has to shop for the Easter holidays for two adults and seven children.
