The leadership of the CSU district associations have spoken out in favor of a renewed candidacy for Bundestag member Alexander Radwan (59).
District
- The executive committees of the CSU district associations Miesbach and Bad Tölz/Wolfratshausen have each unanimously decided to once again propose the CSU Bundestag member Alexander Radwan as a direct candidate to the delegates at the nomination meeting for the 2025 federal election. This emerges from a press release. The 59-year-old from Rottacher has represented constituency 223 in the Bundestag since 2013.
Suggestion from State Parliament President Ilse Aigner
“I am very pleased about this great vote of confidence,” says Radwan. “The fact that this comes right at the beginning of the multi-stage nomination process is, for me, an extraordinary appreciation of my work.” In Miesbach, this step was taken at the suggestion of State Parliament President Ilse Aigner, and Radwan himself is chairman of the CSU district association. According to Aigner, the two have had a trusting collaboration for many years.
“A stroke of luck for our region”
“It is a stroke of luck for our region that it is represented by Alexander Radwan in Berlin,” says Aigner, praising her party colleague. “He knows the people and knows where their problems are.” According to Thomas Holz, chairman of the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen CSU district association, Radwan is “a member of parliament who always takes time for local concerns and immediately deals with any that arise takes care of problems.”
The decision lies with delegates from the district associations
The decision as to whether the 59-year-old will actually run will be made at the nomination meeting in July. The delegates from the two district associations vote here.
