Traunstein - Five people were injured in a car accident on federal highway 306 near Traunstein - including two children. For reasons that are not yet clear, a 45-year-old man crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with the vehicle of a 40-year-old woman, according to police in the early hours of Wednesday, April 3rd. A 29-year-old driver who was following was unable to brake in time and drove into the scene of the accident.

Serious accident on B306 near Traunstein: Five injured - including two children
The force of the impact caused the person who caused the accident to be seriously injured, while the two children traveling with him were slightly injured. The 40-year-old woman and her 34-year-old passenger also suffered minor injuries. All injured people were taken to hospitals for treatment. The federal highway was completely closed for around three hours while the accident was being recorded. The police estimate the material damage caused at around 50,000 euros.
The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon between Siegsdorf and Traunstein on the so-called Blaue-Wand-Straße. Just last week, a man was killed in an accident at this point.
