A law that extends the obligation of gender equality in the top positions of the Public Administration. This is the proposal that emerged during the event 'Let's regenerate the public system. More women in top positions: the proposals of Flepar', promoted by the federation of public professionals which brought together experts, researchers, politicians and government representatives today in Rome to discuss, a few days after the opening of a new season of public appointments in the investee companies, why women are effectively absent from the levers of command of ministries and the Italian public system in general, despite more research demonstrating how a more marked female presence at the top means seeing the market value of companies increase, with a positive impact also on the national GDP. Flepar then recalls that out of 90 general managers in ministries only 13 are women, while in the context of investee companies, out of 262 companies with sole directors only 10% are women. "The good results of the Gulf - Moscow Law, which brought the presence of women on boards of directors from 7 to 43% in thirteen years - we read in the Flepar document - push us to continue, extend and strengthen the obligation to reserve gender administrative roles are less represented, however focusing the scope of application on actual management and decision-making positions" "With the female prime minister a decisive step has been taken to break the glass ceiling. But we must continue to work, because in politics, in companies, in management higher, women are underrepresented. We therefore need answers, the government is committed to this, also because we know that working women have a positive impact on GDP". Said the Undersecretary for the Economy, Lucia Albano of Fdi.

According to data from the Europa Research Centre, the percentage of women among employees, by qualification, in 2022 is 58% among office workers (it was 57.1% in 2008); among quadrile women are 31.9% (in 2008 they were 24.5%); while among employee managers, women make up 21% (compared to 11.9% in 2008).
