This Wednesday, the Franconville municipal police officers arrested the protagonists of a car theft which ended with the beating of an iron bar and left one person injured. The victim of the theft had taken out his jack to defend himself. The scene took place on Wednesday around 7 p.m. in Franconville while a municipal police crew responded to an injury accident nearby. They were then contacted by telephone by a panicked woman who informed them of a violent attack 100 m away.

The three municipal police officers immediately ran there, meeting passers-by who told them that the situation was critical in their opinion. Still progressing along rue de l'Orme-Saint-Edme, they find themselves facing three young people. One of them, injured in the forehead, is bleeding profusely, staggers and holds on to parked cars to avoid falling. The other two, whom the officers recognize, indicate that they have just fought with a man. They were arrested and emergency services alerted.
One of the police officers arrives on rue Victor-Basch and finds an individual with an iron bar. He drops his weapon and lies down on the ground at the request of the police officer who in turn handcuffs him. According to a witness at the scene, another person nearby was involved. A young person who is in turn apprehended.
The first elements collected on site made it possible to retrace the course of the events. The 25-year-old man with the iron bar was driving his BMW on rue Victor-Basch when three minors, near the Quatre Noyers school group, tried to steal his bag placed on the front passenger seat, during a a theft at the door. The victim got out of the vehicle, taking a jack bar from his trunk in the process, to fight. He thus violently hit one of his attackers who fled.
On instructions from the Ermont police station, the alleged perpetrators of the door theft, aged around 17, as well as the driver, were handed over to the national police for continued investigation.
