Let's get out of the basket and into the newspaper: Kitty-Samy, the cat of FT editorial director Manuel Eser, is already on the move to the editorial office and is looking forward to having company in the local newspaper. © Eser
For World Pet Day, the Freisinger Tagblatt is collecting photos of district residents with their pets. Everyone can make their favorite animal big.
District
- Admittedly: Kitty-Samy would rather hunt for a good bite than good stories. But when a newspaper comes to her paws, FT editorial director Manuel Eser's cat literally devours the pages like a bookworm. Whereby: The critical cat tears up some of the owner's articles with a sharp claw.
As with the Eser family, for many people their pet is a full-fledged family member or like a friend who is always there. Pets enrich our lives every day. And it doesn't matter whether it's a dog or a goldfish.
The American Colleen Paige also had these thoughts. As a pet expert and animal rights activist, she initiated National Pet Day in 2005. Since then, April 11th has been used every year to honor pets. The Freisinger Tagblatt would like to do the same this year. On Thursday, April 11, 2024, we want to collect the cutest, funniest or most bizarre pets in the Freising district on a special page.
Get involved - that's how it works
Dear FT readers, if you want to take part, send us a photo of you and your pet! Please tell us your name and the name of your pet, where you live, how long your animal roommate has lived with you, and tell us your story. Did the animal find its way to you via a detour? Has it helped you through a difficult time? Has it ever done something funny or even a special gift? Or is there a bizarre event surrounding the pet? We are happy about every anecdote. The deadline for entries is Monday, April 8, 2024.
We will publish the best submissions on April 11th. Send the photo with the information by email to
