Families of abductees at a press conference in Tel Aviv/Maariv
The headquarters of the families of the abductees will hold a rally in Jerusalem this coming Sunday, April 7, to mark six months since the capture of the 134 Israelis held captive by Hamas. The rally will take place in the square in front of the Knesset building.
On behalf of the organizers of the rally, it was announced that "the families of the abductees, together with all the citizens of Israel, will come to Jerusalem, the capital of Israel, for a demonstration of unity and a common cry, with the participation of survivors of captivity, the families of the abductees and well-known public figures.
The families of the abductees invite all citizens of Israel: right and left, secular and religious, to come to the stand by their side and continue to fight shoulder to shoulder - until the release of the last of the abductees."
They also added that "every testimony of a survivor proves once again: the abductees are abused and sexually assaulted on a daily basis. The eyes of the abductees are lifted up in the hope that the State of Israel, which they love so much, will save them, the state that sees the value of life as a supreme value."

Yesterday, representatives of the families of the abductees smeared yellow paint on the guest stand in the Knesset during its plenary session. This action was done in protest of the conduct of the government, which they claim failed a deal to release their loved ones. Also, the families protested against the background of the Knesset plenum, which is the last of the winter session, and the Knesset members going on vacation starting Wednesday. This despite a public protest on this issue.
