There is currently an increased risk of forest fires in the district. The district office calls on citizens to be vigilant. The fire handling rules are summarized here.

Miesbach

- The Miesbach district office warns in a press release of an increased risk of forest fires. In it, the district authority refers to the German Weather Service's forest fire danger index, which currently has a level of 4 out of 5 for the district. As a result, the fire and disaster control at the district office and the district fire brigade leadership inform: “All citizens are asked to handle fire responsibly and to be careful not to ignite open flames in the forest or neighboring areas.” This also applies to Smoking, open fires and campfires.

It should also be noted that when using an open fire near forests, a safety distance of at least 100 meters must be maintained. In addition, open fireplaces must be kept under constant supervision. “Fire and embers must be completely and permanently extinguished when you leave the fireplace.” Because of the burning glass effect, no glass should be left in forests or open spaces. The district office further writes: “Tourists should also keep the access roads to the forests clear and only use designated parking spaces. Grass areas can catch fire from hot exhaust.”

District office reminds of reporting platform for Daxen fire

In connection with the notification, the authority also reminds us of the reporting platform www.daxenfeuer.de: According to the district office, Daxen fires, traditional fires and other purpose-built fires can be reported free of charge, quickly and easily online to the Rosenheim Integrated Control Center on the website of the same name. But: “The fire is not authorized with this report, if authorization is required.” Reporting the fire via the platform is still helpful, as the Integrated Control Center Rosenheim (ILS), the district offices of Rosenheim and Miesbach and the city of Rosenheim quickly and can clearly see the location and extent of the reported fires.

If the integrated control center receives an emergency call about smoke or fire, the control center dispatcher can draw conclusions about planned fires more quickly and thus better assess the emergency call. The goal is to reduce possible false alarms about Dax fires or custom fires. nap

Last June, the district office also warned of an increased risk of forest fires in the Miesbach district - and subsequently even banned Daxen fires.
