La Anónima is the supermarket par excellence of Patagonia and the interior of Argentina. With 115 years of history, it is the absolute leader in the market for the sale of mass consumption products, both due to the number of stores it operates and its level of sales. This year its purpose is to reach new corners of the country and for that it is investing 20 million dollars.
In recent months, the company opened a branch in Esperanza (Santa Fe) and also its second branch in the Neuquén city of Centenario. This year, the plan is to open branches in Fernández Oro (Río Negro), Río Gallegos (Santa Cruz), Bella Vista (Corrientes), and San Patricio del Chañar (Neuquén). The latter, together with the branches of Añelo, Catriel, Rincón de los Sauces, Plaza Huincul and Zapala, will complete the exhaustive presence of Supermercados La Anónima in the prosperous and growing oil area of Vaca Muerta.

With these openings, the firm will add 6,700 new m2 in sales rooms and will exceed 170 branches in more than 85 cities in Argentina. In addition, it will provide work for more than 300 families, which will join the 12,300 that are already part of La Anónima. In this way, more than 12,500 jobs will be created.
In line with the Triple Impact commitment assumed, the company's growth generates value in each of the communities reached. The idea is that the new openings not only have a positive impact on local employment, but also on its value chain. The La Anónima Impulsa initiative is an example of this purpose. This is a training program that is implemented annually to promote the development and growth of local suppliers and/or small or medium-sized companies located in their area of influence.
