At the annual general meeting of the Mauggener Jennewein shooters, shooting master Sebastian Oberpriller, in office since 2023, looked back on an eventful year for the club. He had great praise for the youngsters.

Mauggen – Oberpriller's thanks went to all the helpers at the many events. And he highlighted the youth team's promotion to the A class as group winners with the top result of 1,101 rings. It won't be boring this year either: Oberpriller pointed out the date for the village festival on July 13th and 14th with a classic car meeting.

Secretary Daniel Sterr looked back in detail on the many dates, such as the section shooting with 134 shooters. Treasurer Anton Rauch reported a plus in the club's treasury.

Sports director Igor Thomas reported on sporting successes with six starts at the Bavarian Championship and a runner-up title at the Upper Bavarian Championship. Seven teams take part in the round-robin competition, and one team also competes in the district league. The 1st air rifle team took first place in the A class. Herbert Sterr celebrated the greatest success at Oberbayerische. He won the runner-up title in the air pistol edition in the senior class I.

Youth leader Anton Winkler looked back on a successful year. According to him, around 25 young shooters between the ages of eight and 17 are currently being looked after. The most recent success is the victory of the youth team in the cup round Group East. This was crowned with promotion to the A class - said record result of 1101 rings. Training with the light rifle is now also offered. Winkler praised the young shooters' ambition in training and competitions.

Alfred Ascher, head of the cycling department, reported on the multi-day trip, which covered 450 kilometers and many meters in altitude from Passau via various stations back to Mauggen. A multi-day trip starting in Salzburg is also planned for 2024. Ascher also criticized that it would be desirable to have more participants in the department's weekly trips. The spinning operation in the Schützenheim is a success story.

There were also honors for long-standing and deserving members by district shooting master Klaus Waldherr and the two shooting masters Oberpriller and Veronika Czech. Renate Sterr, Hubert Westermaier and Sabrina Mesner have been members of the club for 25 years and have been awarded honorary badges and certificates for this. Johann Schlecht has been loyal to the club for half a century. Sabine Westermaier, Margit Mair, Christine Altmann, Christine Geißler, Leonhard Schletter, Michael Sterr, Hubert Westermaier and Johann Rosenhuber received the Gau Medal of Honor in bronze for their services to the club. Franz Mair, Georg Altmann, Josef Pointner and Alois Ober were awarded the Gau Medal of Honor in gold.
