25 exhibitors and three specialist lectures await visitors at the Tourism Day in the Tölzer District Office. In addition to tourism professionals, interested citizens are also welcome.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – The premiere last year in Benediktbeuern was a success. “In terms of feedback, there was actually a desire for a repetition,” says Johanna Kirschenhofer from Tölzer Land Tourismus (TLT). That's why there is now a new edition of Tourism Day. On Friday, April 12th, it will be said again in the Tölzer district office: “You meet the Tourismusmacha”.

25 exhibitors are taking part - although the Zweiseenland Kochel am See/Walchensee has taken a few more providers under its wing at its stand, says Kirschenhofer. Herzogstandbahn, Franz-Marc-Museum, Glentleiten and the new podcast “The Pre-Alpine Whisperers” (we reported) are presented there. The other tourist information centers in the district are also represented - as are the cities of Geretsried and Wolfratshausen.

Manufacturers of dry toilets are also presenting themselves

There are also stands from tourism associations, the Lower Nature Conservation Authority, the Königscard and also the Euregio Schwaz-Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen-Miesbach. New exhibitors are the Wellnessalm Holzerhof Lenggries, whose wellness area is also open to day guests, and the new Hotel Bergeblick on the Wackersberger Höhe. The exhibitor “Ur-Needürfnis”, which produces public dry toilets, may seem a little unusual. “These are the beautiful wooden toilets that are in Benediktbeuern, for example,” says Christina Baier from TLT. They simply want to show that there are nicer alternatives to the blue Dixi toilets.

The job center will also have a stand. There you will find information about support offers and employer services.

One of the lectures deals with the topic of artificial intelligence

There are also three lectures on the program. At 2:30 p.m., Monica Tetzner from Bayern Tourismus Marketing GmbH will speak about the topic “Accessibility – a holistic living space issue that affects guests and locals and from which everyone can benefit.” The awareness-raising lecture is about the goal of making “travel possible for everyone,” says Kirschenhofer.

At 3:30 p.m. there will be a practical impulse from Matthias Adam, managing director of Königscard Gästekarten GmbH. “What awaits our guest? “Using existing offers cleverly and attracting new guests” is the title of his lecture. At 4.30 p.m., under the topic “AI meets tourism”, the listeners will find out how artificial intelligence such as Chat-GPT & Co. can be used sensibly. The guest is Holger Sigmund (Holger Sigmund Management & Projects).

After the last lecture there should be time to exchange ideas. “Networking was the most important thing for many last time,” says Kirschenhofer.

Anyone who would like to take part should register

Of course, everyone from the tourism industry is primarily invited to the Tourism Day in the district office. “Interested citizens who want to find out more about working in tourism are also welcome to come,” says Baier. Since places are limited and to make planning easier for the organizers, registration is requested. This is possible at www.toelzer-land.de/visitor. It starts on April 12th with a “get together” from 1:30 p.m. with snacks and drinks in the foyer of the district office. The official opening by Deputy District Administrator Thomas Holz and TLT boss Andreas Wüstefeld is scheduled for 2 p.m.
