The independent agency StandardEthics, at the end of the annual review process, improved the corporate rating assigned to Popolare diSondrio from 'EE' to 'EE+'. In its final report, the agency states, among other things, that during 2023 the institute continued to integrate ESG (Environmental, social and governance) elements within corporate activities and, at the same time, strengthened the safeguards of 'ESG Risk Management' and renewed the main governance tools such as the code of ethics and the sustainability policy, with the inclusion of explicit references to the indications of the UN, OECD and EU. "The improvement in the sustainability rating recognized by the Standard Ethics agency is a source of great satisfaction for us because it recognizes the seriousness and determination with which we are incorporating the ESG guidelines suggested by the main international organizations into our business processes", underlines in a note the managing director and general manager, Mario Alberto Pedranzini.
"The pursuit of environmental and social sustainability objectives for the creation of a more inclusive and resilient economic model will continue - adds Pedranzini - also in the future to inspire the bank's work, in support of the development of both the territories in which we are traditionally present and those in which we're fitting in."
