After six years on “Der Bergdoktor”, Andrea Gerhard has left the ZDF series. Now the actress has more time for her passion: sustainability.
Hamburg – As medical assistant Linn Kemper, Andrea Gerhard (40) conquered the hearts of many “Der Bergdoktor” viewers from 2019. But after six years, on February 22, 2024, she was seen for the last time in the ZDF series with Hans Sigl (54). The Marburg-born actress certainly won't get bored away from Ellmau, after all, she has new projects waiting for her - even away from acting.
After “The Mountain Doctor”: Andrea Gerhard remains committed to sustainability
The 40-year-old is passionate about the topic of sustainability like few of her colleagues: she eats a mostly vegan diet, only very consciously buys new fashion and finds out exactly where her consumer goods come from. This is well received: In November 2023, Andrea Gerhard was a guest at the German Sustainability Award ceremony.
In her podcast “ZWEIvorZWÖLF”, the former “Der Bergdoktor” actress has been providing information about the topic, which is becoming increasingly relevant to society, since 2019. There were even tips for even more sustainability from a renowned expert, as the Hamburg resident reveals in an interview with

. The well-known environmental researcher Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart (66) “made it clear to her in a podcast episode that I should shave my long hair.” In this way she could at least “save an immense amount of water”.
Former “Bergdoktor” star Andrea Gerhard self-critical: “I still use a lot of water”
Although Andrea Gerhard doesn't want to part with her hair, she agrees with the expert: “He's right! I only wash my hair once a week if possible, but I still use a lot of water despite using solid shampoo etc. The theater and television actress is self-critical: She knows that her “visits to the hairdresser etc the associated hair coloring (...) is not particularly environmentally friendly.

The ex-“Bergdoktor” actress approaches her heartfelt topic with a healthy dose of realism: “Nobody, no matter what their profession, can live 100 percent sustainably.” Andrea Gerhard’s former Ellmau colleague also recently caused a stir: “Bergdoktor” Star Hans Sigl appeared with a new look.
