Three young adults were taking Boulevard Jacques Chaban-Delmas in Bruges, around 3 a.m. on Wednesday night, when they were checked by a brigade of the Bordeaux national police. At the back of this car equipped with false license plates: a trailer and a mini-excavator stolen from Athée-sur-Cher, in Indre-et-Loire.
Aged 19 for two of them and barely an adult for the last, the three individuals were arrested by the internal security forces. In police custody, none of them was able to justify the origin of the excavator or to recognize the acts of theft of which they are suspected.
Unknown to the justice system until now, these three young people are domiciled in the Bordeaux region and in Saint-Pierre-des-Corps, in Indre-et-Loire. An investigation is underway to clarify the suspicious circumstances of the theft of this excavator.
