Bulky sat navs have had their day; nowadays smartphones often replace devices when navigating on the bike. The dilemma: “The cell phone wobbles, it is difficult to attach, in the worst case the cell phone ends up on the floor and breaks,” says Simon Josenhans to RTL.
That's why, together with Mike Obermaier and Luisa Josenhans, he looked for a cell phone holder for the bike that was rock-solid and also looked stylish. Because this combination of appearance and function did not yet exist in the eyes of the start-up founders, they are presenting the solution in the current season of the VOX start-up show “The Lions' Den”: FESCHD. The name “FESCHD” comes from the Hessian pronunciation of the word “firm” and reflects the roots of the founding team from Gießen in Hesse.

Our FESCHD cell phone holder system consists of two parts. On the one hand there is the holder that is attached to the handlebars and on the other hand there is the 2.5 millimeter thin adapter plate that is attached to the cell phone case. Thanks to the integrated neodymium magnet, we can easily center the cell phone on the holder and snap it into place using the recess. Fastening is possible within a second.

What can the
FESCHD mobile phone holder do that others cannot?
Why FESCHD? Because Simon, after trying and cursing countless cell phone holders, was fed up. “Too wobbly, too insecure, and if things go wrong, it makes a ‘splash’ and the cell phone kisses the asphalt,” says Simon, describing the dilemma to RTL.
The FESCHD system shows its strengths everywhere: on the bike, in the car, on the desk or even on the wall. Thanks to a clever magnet system and an ultra-thin adapter plate that sticks to the cell phone, the smartphone holds securely. And with the integrated wire bracket, which turns out to be a stand or finger ring, the cell phone is not only safe, but also always at the optimal angle.

From development to production to assembly and packaging, everything is produced locally in Hesse.
FESCHD is not only smart and chic, but also a real friend of the environment and social justice. Made from recycled material and manufactured in the heart of Germany, FESCHD makes a statement. The proceeds from 50 FESCHD cell phone holders sold will also be used to finance a bicycle for people in developing regions. The holders for FESCHD are made of recycled plastic according to the “cradle to cradle” principle. This means that any part can be replaced, melted down and made into a new holder.

The FESCHD mobile phone holder set contains an adapter plate that can be easily connected to the smartphone or protective case using the powerful 3M adhesive system.
The cell phone can then be attached to the holder using magnets and securely locked using the stainless steel bracket. The adapter plate allows for completely flexible application options in everyday use and even serves as a finger ring, stand or can be attached to any magnetic surface.
