“He who searches finds: 35 years of Physics at the Infn of Ferrara”: this is the theme of the new appointment of the Fridays of the Universe, the series of conferences for the dissemination of science organized by the Department of Physics and Earth Sciences of the University of Ferrara and the Ferrara section of the Infn in collaboration with the 'Columbia' Amateur Astronomers Group, Exploriamo l'Universo, Associazione Promozione Sociale and Arci Ferrara.
The meeting, which we will broadcast live from 9pm, is dedicated to the history of research conducted in the Ferrara section of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics.
The president of the Infn Antonio Zoccoli talks about it, reconstructing the mission of the institution starting from its birth in 1951. The story of the Ferrara section of the Infn is told by its director, Roberto Calabrese, professor of experimental physics at Department of Physics and Earth Sciences of the University of Ferrara. Isabella Garzia, from the same department and the Infn section of Ferrara, talks about the future instead.
The event, says Calabrese, highlights "the contribution of the Ferrara community to the Institute's research activities, characterized by particular attention to both fundamental physics and technological developments, in an international context".
