Kochel - On Thursday (April 4th) officers from the Weilheim traffic police from the motorcycle control group and the riot police checked motorcycles on Kesselberg. The police said they set up a checkpoint between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with the aim of increasing road safety for all road users. The focus was on the technical condition of the motorcycles and the riders' ability to drive.
More than 55 motorcycles were checked. According to the police, 15 reports of administrative offenses were filed, mostly due to technical defects on the motorcycle. A driver was also caught driving on the Kesselberg after the 3 p.m. closing time, the police told the Rundschau when asked. The police prohibited one driver from continuing to drive because the motorcycle had inadmissible technical modifications. At the same time, speed checks took place on the B11 during the same period.
