Since the accidental launch of a rocket could not be ruled out, the Danish Navy has closed an area in the Baltic Sea.
Bremen – A dangerous malfunction occurred on a Danish Navy warship off the coast of Denmark. Because of the danger posed by the frigate, the Danish military then had to close part of the strait through the Great Belt between the Danish islands of Funen and Zealand.

Missile malfunction on Danish frigate – Navy closes strait
As the Danish military said in a statement, the malfunction occurred on Thursday (April 4) "during a mandatory test in which the rocket launcher is activated and cannot be deactivated." In the release, the Danish military further stated: “Until the rocket launcher is deactivated, there is a risk that the missile could fire and fly a few kilometers.”
The warning affected an area southwest of the city of Korsor. The area in question was just a few kilometers from the over 6,000 meter long Great Belt Bridge, which connects the islands of Funen and Zealand. However, traffic on the bridge was not stopped as a result of the malfunction because the structure was outside the endangered zone.
Incident in the Baltic Sea - Missile malfunctioning with 150 kilos of explosives
According to the
BBC,
the rocket contained 150 kilograms of explosives, but was not live and therefore would probably not have exploded if it had crashed into the sea.
The Danish Navy ship in question was the frigate “Niels Juel”. The warship has been owned by the Danish military since 2010 and was part of NATO's Task Group 441.01 last year. The group is part of the military alliance's Very High Readiness Joint Task Force (VJTF), which should also have an increased presence in the waters bordering NATO countries because of the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Several incidents in the Danish Navy – defense chief has to leave
A technical problem also occurred on board a Danish warship in the Red Sea in March. As a result, the Ministry of Defense fired the Danish military's defense chief. The anti-aircraft systems of a Danish frigate that was sent to the Red Sea to defend against Houthi drones failed in early March.
The reason for this is said to have been a software problem that has apparently been known for years. This is reported by the Danish portal

. However, Lentfer had not informed his superiors in the Danish government about the incident and therefore had to resign. “I have lost trust in the defense chief,” said Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen, referring to Lentfer.
