On another afternoon marked by

violence in Rosario

, a new episode shook the residents of the southern neighborhood of the city. Around 5:30 p.m. this Thursday, a

pharmacy became the target of a shooting attack

by two men who arrived on a motorcycle and, before escaping, left a note.

Two people aboard a low-displacement white motorcycle arrived at the business located in Ayacucho at 6100. One of the individuals, described as a young man of approximately 20 years old, got out of the vehicle and, without saying a word, unleashed a

burst of gunshots.

Local media reported that the attacker carried out the shooting inside the business and that some of the shots hit the front of the store. Despite the time, mid-afternoon, no injuries were reported. The feeling of shock, however, spread both within the establishment and in the surrounding area.

The violence of the incident was evidenced by the dozen bullet holes in the façade and interior, as well as by the

fourteen served shells

found at the crime scene. In a disturbing gesture, the perpetrators left a note with a concise but threatening message:

A neighbor alerted the police authorities, who quickly responded to the scene. Testimonies collected by the agents indicated that the attack was perpetrated by two individuals who fled towards the center of the city after carrying out the shooting and threat.

Despite the efforts of law enforcement to maintain calm and ensure security in the area, the impact of the incident was felt throughout the neighborhood.

The police deployment caused the narrowing of the road, generated traffic jams and detours. The investigation is now focused on

searching for the motorcycle

on which the two men were traveling. For this operation, it was decided to analyze the videos captured by the security cameras in the area.

The attack took place this Thursday afternoon, minutes before the governor of Santa Fe, Maximiliano Pullaro, and the Minister of National Security, Patricia Bullrich, led a press conference that served as the first assessment of the crisis committee that organized the Government in the face of the wave of drug violence in Rosario.

The escalation of attacks occurred since Pullaro took office as provincial leader and the series of operations and measures with which he toughened the conditions of prisoners linked to drug trafficking. In bloody weeks, four crimes hit the city: the deaths of taxi drivers Héctor Figueroa and Diego Celentano, bus driver Marcos Iván Daloia and beachgoer Bruno Bussanich.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday night there was a new episode of shots and fire. It happened in front of the Meat Union, at 5,300 Fausta Avenue.

As in the case of the pharmacy, two people intervened, aboard a motorcycle, at 10:15 p.m. As a different point, they sprayed fuel on the façade of the union headquarters and set it on fire. In addition, they fired shots and left a threatening note.

The building had already been attacked in February 2023, also with a shooting. That time, the attackers also left a note: it was addressed to two prisoners linked to the Monos.

This Wednesday night, in addition, two motorcycles belonging to workers at the Paladini meat processing plant located in the town of Villa Gobernador Gálvez were set on fire. It happened just an hour after the attack on the union. "Apparently, both events would be related to what happened in the union, because they occurred almost simultaneously," said José Fantini, general secretary of the Meat Union.
