The remains of a baby were discovered Tuesday night at a garbage plant in West Palm Beach, Florida, police said.

NBC Miami reported that a Solid Waste Authority worker called 911 around 5:25 p.m. ET to report possible human remains at the SWA Renewable Energy Facility on North Jog Road, according to West Palm Police. Beach.

Detectives searched the dumping area — where garbage trucks unload their contents — and discovered that the remains appeared to be those of a baby, police said.
