After the death of a 15-year-old teenager, lynched near a college in Viry-Châtillon (Essonne) on Thursday, government spokesperson Prisca Thevenot denounced a “barbaric crime”.
“He could be our brother, our son, our comrade. Faced with this barbaric crime and violence, our society will not bend. The perpetrators will be found and punished,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
