The Middle East researcher, Eliyahu Yossian, whose name became known after being featured in several news programs since the outbreak of the war, submitted this week to the Hadera Magistrate's Court a request to prevent threatening harassment and a restraining order against his neighbor - on the grounds that she was harassing him.
The security commentator who provided some controversial statements at the beginning of the war, lives in Harish. According to him, since the October 7 incident, when he became a sought-after commentator in the media and expressed his opinion on political issues, the neighbor began to harass him and his family. According to him, she stuck to the door of their apartment, photographed and recorded them, followed them and thus violated their privacy. Yossian claimed that the neighbor's behavior became unhealthy and caused him damages.
The removal order requested by Yossian comes following an investigation that was recently distributed on social media by the network's journalist Daniel Amram - where Amram slammed him with serious accusations of sexual exploitation. As part of the investigation, Yossian's neighbor also took part.
In the warning letter before taking legal proceedings that Yossian sent to Amram and his neighbor, and published it on his X account, it is written that "on 3/30 you published a video through your website on YouTube, and your social networks that spanned over 45 minutes, during which you interviewed my client's neighbor , you are the teacher/nanny of my client's children and in addition you published videos that were taken, it seems, by that neighbor, inside my client's house. Videos that were taken, among other things, through the window of the house."
Yossian claims in the threat of the libel suit that he filed, that Amram attributed to him in the investigation that he had committed sexual offenses and sexual assaults against one of his children - and denies this completely. "You determined and determined the fate of the case based on zero evidence and gut feelings only. This is cheap journalistic work but lost while committing criminal offenses. Not only are you not a journalist and you will not investigate - your pretending to be one has also failed."
It also appears from the warning letter sent by Yossian that he demands, among other things, the immediate removal of the video published against him, a public and explicit apology from Amram, as well as financial compensation in the amount of two million shekels. Judge Ehud Kaplan, who heard the request for a restraining order he submitted - forbade the neighbor to approach Yossian and his family in any way until the discussion of the status of the parties - which will take place next week.
