With the arrival of the Olympic Games, the State will test its civil security systems in sports facilities in the coming months. This will be the case from this Friday, April 5 in the Lyon region, where a major full-scale exercise will be carried out by the Rhône prefecture at the Groupama stadium in Décines-Charpieu. The venue, which will host several football and rugby sevens matches, will be the scene of an
“emergency situation”
whose scenario has not been revealed, from 12 p.m.
The opportunity for state services to test the new FR ALERT system. This alert and information system by cellular broadcast will be tested among the populations located in Décines and Meyzieu. Its purpose is to inform any mobile phone user in a given area of the presence of danger and the behavior to adopt to protect themselves from it.
A particularly loud sound signal
The alert notification is accompanied by a particularly loud sound signal. The exercise mention will be clearly indicated and people receiving it will not have to take any specific action.
Inside the stadium, however, emergency services and law enforcement will be mobilized, according to our information, to the prefect's office for this exercise. Similar tests were carried out in preparation for the Rugby World Cup, in Saint-Étienne in particular.
