In Nemours (Seine-et-Marne), a little person has risen to the rank of public figure known by more than half of the population. Like every Saturday morning, it sits majestically at the cheesemaker's stand at the market, on the Champ-de-Mars. This is Piou-Piou, the magpie. Passing through the site, Annick does not fail to immortalize the moment.
“The first time I met her was in this market. Every Saturday, she is there very early and puts on a show in front of the customers. Last time, she even stole a gougere,” she remembers. It is not difficult to find Nemourians with anecdotes about the black and white bird. They also share their most beautiful selfies with him on social networks. From the municipal police to the hikers but also the running club, the corvid is afraid of nothing.
