After successfully surviving the Easter performance, King Charles pushes his traveling team to peak performance. He was “overjoyed” that the outcome was so positive.
Windsor – 75-year-old King Charles is currently undergoing cancer treatment. Despite his illness, he presented himself at individual appointments, but always worked in the background. Many considered his plans to appear at the service at Easter to be hasty. But the monarch insisted on leading the royal family in person at the Easter church visit. As a palace insider tells

, that doesn't go far enough for the king. He is moving forward with his travel plans.
It would be King Charles' first trip as sovereign to Down Under and New Zealand
The king actually never gave up his intention to travel despite the diagnosis. It would be King Charles' first trip as sovereign to Down Under and New Zealand. But 20 hours of long-distance travel simply seemed like an unrealistic goal during cancer treatment. But not for Charles. The monarch appears to be pushing ahead with plans for a two-week state visit to Australia following a positive start to cancer treatment.

The 75-year-old wants to return Down Under with Queen Camilla in October. A source said: "The King can't wait to get back to work and is 'overjoyed' at the successful start of cancer treatment." Charles encourages his team with undiminished earnestness for the two-week trip, which will also include New Zealand and Samoa.
King Charles' last visit to Australia
The monarch most recently visited Australia to open the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. His first visit came in the 1960s, when he spent two semesters as an exchange student at the exclusive Geelong Grammar School near Melbourne.
King Charles is optimistic about the future: “Overjoyed with the progress of the treatment”
Of course the disease takes its toll. The tour alongside Queen Camilla (76) in October would be restricted and involve “significant downtime”. The rest periods are intended to ensure that he has the energy to fulfill his duties, says the insider.

Either way, it's good news coming out of the palace: the monarch feels "positive" and the doctors are "optimistic" after Charles was even able to take a tour on Easter Sunday and even shake many hands. The doctors are said to have warned King Charles against gatherings of people because the risk of catching pathogens from chemotherapy with a compromised immune system was too great.
