Even Barbara Schöneberger sometimes can't hide the fangirl in her. But a meeting with her childhood idol quickly brought the presenter back down to earth.
Berlin – Barbara Schöneberger (51) certainly imagined this meeting differently: In the latest episode of her podcast “With the Waffles of a Woman,” the successful presenter and entertainer talks to the former “Tagesschau” spokeswoman Judith Rakers (48) about a meeting with her childhood idol. An encounter with a rather disappointing end.
Barbara Schöneberger had great expectations about meeting her youth idol
“I always listened to Austropop and I know every song by it. “I’m such a fan of his,” Schöneberger reveals in her podcast as a fangirl of Rainhard Fendrich (69). There is a simple reason why she speaks so openly about the meeting with the Austrian pop singer and “Herzblatt” presenter: “He doesn’t hear it,” said the entertainer. “Then I met him once and he was so snobby about me,” Schöneberger continues.

At the time, she even thought that she could “be his type.” “Not that I imagined a life with him, but I thought he would be happy if I told him that I thought he was really great, but - he didn't,” says Schöneberger - a sobering first meeting with her “Heart Leaf”.
Judith Rakers also remembers meeting “Herzblatt” presenter Fendrich
And Schöneberger's conversation partner, Judith Rakers, can still clearly remember her meeting with "Herzblatt" presenter Fendrich on the NDR talk show "3 nach 9". In advance, she talked to the presenter and singer about his album at the time and his drug past, but Fendrich didn't want to know anything more about it on the show: "I don't talk about that on TV."

A rather unfortunate joke on the part of the Austropop star. After a short silence, the singer would have resolved the situation. “That’s my memory of Rainhard Fendrich,” said Rakers, laughing. A lasting impression that the singer and presenter left not only with Schöneberger. Judith Rakers is still embarrassed by the experience today.
