Pure experience. This is what Alexander Höller brings with him. The striker will also play for SC Riessersee next season. Most recently, the right winger recorded 25 goals, including seven goals, in 39 appearances before he was injured a few weeks before the playoffs and had to end the season prematurely.

GAP - It happened in the away game against Memmingen at the end of January when he broke his spoke. His CV also includes professional appearances. “I am very happy and proud to be able to continue playing for SC Riessersee. I feel very comfortable in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and therefore the decision was very easy for me. The SCR was my first option and I’m really looking forward to playing in the stadium in front of our great fans next season,” emphasizes the Tyrolean. In the past two years, Höller played 92 times in a league game for the white-blue team and collected 79 scorer points.

The SC Riessersee branch manager, Sebastian Ziener, is also pleased about the uncomplicated contract extension: “We came to an agreement very quickly and we are very pleased that we can continue to count on Alex’s experience. Alex is an important player on and off the ice. Alex is a role model for our young talents, he lives this club and leads the way in all situations.” After the operation, the Innsbruck player also went on long away trips to support the team off the ice and in the dressing room. “This commitment and commitment from Alex shows his impeccable character. “He puts the team’s success above all else and always tries to help his team as best as he can,” reports Ziener. In the summer of 2022, Höller moved from Starbulls Rosenheim to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the Oberliga Süd. The German-Austrian signed a two-year contract. Höller was Rosenheim's most successful goalgetter in the 2021/22 season with 33 goals in a total of 48 appearances, as well as 21 assists. Before his time in the Starbulls jersey, the left-handed shooter also stormed for Dresden and Crimmitschau in the DEL2.

Alex Höller is not only considered an excellent athlete with a highly professional attitude to ice hockey, but also a very ambitious athlete. The 39-year-old went through the youth academy at HC Innsbruck. The winger can look back on many years of experience and 396 games in the first Austrian league or EBEL, 186 DEL2 games and 236 league games (251 points). In 2015 he played in Germany for the first time, for the Eispiren Crimmitschau in the DEL2. Two and a half years followed in Dresden before he moved to Rosenheim in the Oberliga in January 2019. In the 2017/18 season, Höller was the top scorer for the Dresdner Eislöwen in the second highest German ice hockey league. He was successful with 54 points (21 goals, 33 assists) and in as many games.

In the previous two seasons, Höller also scored well in the DEL2 with 46 points (2016/17 for Dresden) and 47 points (2015/16 for Crimmitschau). Höller cites the reason why he still plays ice hockey at the age of almost 40: “I take care of my body. Exercising a lot and well and eating right is very important. I feel good and take care of my body. I have a very professional attitude towards my sport and love the game of ice hockey.”
