Nine months after the ransacking of the Franprix store, during the riots which followed the death of Nahel in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) last summer, the city and the business are offering an innovative solution to allow the population to continue to shop locally.
For the past few days, it has been possible to come and order any product from the brand, in the truck parked every morning on Avenue du Sud, at the foot of the shopping square. Two employees are there to help residents who can come back the next day to collect their purchases. “All our customers at the moment are retirees,” says Athalia, who with her colleague David is responsible for welcoming visitors and helping them place their orders. They don't have Internet at home, nor do they have a telephone or a very old model that doesn't allow them to do this kind of thing online. »
