The Israeli army announced on Saturday that it had recovered during the night the body of a hostage in Khan Younes (south of the Gaza Strip), killed according to it in captivity.
Elad Katzir, who was 47 years old at the time of his kidnapping on October 7 from Kibbutz Nir Oz, was
“according to intelligence, killed in captivity by the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad
,” said an army statement. His mother, also taken hostage, was released on November 24 as part of the only truce in six months of war.
