The thermometer has gradually risen this week. Since Thursday it has accelerated the pace in several regions before reaching a peak during the weekend. Locally, temperatures will exceed the levels expected in mid-summer by 14°C.
Saturday will be the hottest moment of this early episode of high temperatures which will not concern Brittany. Le Parisien takes stock region by region, from North to South and from East to West on the maximums expected in the afternoon.
Hauts-de-France.
It is expected to be between 21°C in the parts closest to the North Sea and 26°C in the southernmost parts of the region such as Château-Thierry, in Aisne, a little above the heat level , set at 25°C. Elsewhere, the thermometer will range from 22°C to 24°C. These are July levels.
Brittany.
This is the most notable exception of this Saturday with clouds all day, except perhaps in the easternmost sectors of Ille-et-Vilaine in the afternoon. Regular showers will occur from midday onwards. It will be between 15°C and 19°C, average or 2°C-3°C above.
Normandy.
The sky will clear more and more as it moves away from the coast. Despite the clouds, it will be 20°C to 23°C, around 8°C warmer than average. These are also mid-summer temperatures.
Ile-de-France.
The sky will be clear apart from a light veil of clouds. It will be 24°C to 27°C, a little more than the average temperature in July and August. This corresponds to around ten degrees more than the norm.

Great East.
The sun should barely be obscured by a few light clouds. It will be 23°C to 26°C, like in July. The deviation from the average will be around 8°C.
Pays de la Loire.
Near the ocean, under the clouds, it will be 15°C to 18°C. But going back towards Normandy, the sky will clear and it will be up to 23°C in Sarthe. This is around 7°C warmer than seasonal values.
Center-Val de Loire.
The sun will also only be slightly obscured. The thermometer will flirt with 30°C in places compared to 23°C in the least exposed areas. The difference with the seasonal averages will therefore range from 7°C to… 13°C!

Burgundy-Franche-Comté.
In this region too the sun will be only slightly obscured. It will be 23°C to 27°C at most in the afternoon, levels corresponding to the averages for June or July.
New Aquitaine.
It is one of the regions most exposed to heat this Saturday. In the North, it will be close to 30°C in Creuse, with 28°C expected in Guéret. The 30°C mark, which corresponds to the level of intense heat, will be tickled in the South-West, or even exceeded in Pau, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. These levels exceed averages by around 13°C and are often even several degrees higher than summer averages.

Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.
The sun will largely dominate, sometimes without veil. The range of temperatures will be wide since they will go from 18°C-19°C in certain areas of Cantal and Ardèche to 27°C in Savoie and Isère, or even a little more in Allier. In the hottest areas, the thermometer will be around ten degrees above average.
Occitanie.
The sun will be barely veiled, except by the sea where the clouds should take over. Temperatures will range from 17°C in the Pyrénées-Orientales and Hérault to around thirty in the Hautes-Pyrénées and Haute-Garonne, which will make Occitanie one of the hottest regions in France this Saturday. The deviation from seasonal norms could reach 13°C or 14°C. Temperatures may be several degrees higher than in summer.

Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
This is not the place in France where it will be the hottest. The temperature will even remain below 20°C in the Alpes-Maritimes and part of the Var. Further north in the region it will be up to 24°C.
