Highlights: The former head of the National Council of the Workers' Party of the Republic said that he was surprised by the number of people who had to leave the country. He said it was the first time that such a large number of workers had left the country in such a short period of time. "We didn't know that we were leaving so many people behind," he said, adding: "It's a good thing that we are leaving the country" The decision to leave was made after a meeting of the NSC of the Union of Workers, which was called to discuss a number of issues.

Osvaldo Giordano said he had not thought that the negotiations in the ANSeS and other state organizations with the contracting of policies "had all these ramifications." The former official also referred to retirements. He said that "the sacrifice" of people is "enormous" and warned that older adults are worse than in 2002.

After federal judge Julián Ercolini ordered new raids in the framework of the case for the State insurance scandal during the administration of Alberto Fernández, who is among the accused, the former head of Anses Osvaldo Giordano said there were no I thought there were so many "branches".

"In the case of insurance,

I honestly never thought it had all these ramifications,

because we saw it as an opportunity for management improvements, as a change relatively always seen from the outside, which is stopping taking out insurance," said Giordano, regarding the scandal that Clarín uncovered about the intermediaries and negotiators in the contracting of insurance by Anses.

Yesterday, in the midst of the investigation into suspicions of corruption, Judge Ercolini ordered the search of two current officials of Nación Seguros, the general manager, Mauro Tanos, promoted in the position during the Milei administration, and the purchasing manager, Marcos Eufemio .

In dialogue with radio Miter, the former national official said: "

For us this was one more Anses issue

within the enormous number of management issues that were opened to us. In those 60 days, which were short but intense, we tried to find solutions".

"

We didn't even file a complaint, what we did was not renew the policy and go for self-insurance.

We didn't know everything that was happening in the Nation at that time. We only knew that the insurance was very expensive compared to self-insurance and we made a decision that was coherent: return to self-insurance," emphasized the Córdoba leader.

In that sense, Giordano acknowledged:

"The fact that all this has happened surprises us a lot

and I think it is very positive that Justice investigates because naturally the State hires a lot and I believe that there is a lot to do in reducing public spending by making the decisions that you have to take."
