A man was injured in an apartment fire in Berlin-Pankow. The fire broke out on Saturday night in an apartment on the first floor of a five-story residential building, the fire department announced upon request. The “Berliner Zeitung” had previously reported. According to emergency services, items in the apartment caught fire.
Berlin - One person was rescued via a ladder and another via the stairwell. The fire brigade was able to extinguish the fire after around an hour, it was said. The cause of the fire and further information about those affected were not initially known. The fire department also did not provide any information about the severity of the man's injuries. More than 40 forces were deployed. dpa
