“Bergdoktor” star Hans Sigl also takes on other roles. He is currently making a film and appears with a beautiful actress in front of a fantastic backdrop.
Lisbon – Actor Hans Sigl (54) has been in front of the camera as “Bergdoktor” on ZDF for 17 seasons. Anyone who only assigns the Austrian to this role is mistaken. His filming also takes him all over Europe for other productions.

Sigl has not only been seen as co-presenter of Andrea Kiewel (58) on ZDF's “Fernsehgarten” or as Francine Jordi (46) on the hit show “The Great New Year's Eve Show”. The 54-year-old has also appeared in various television roles. On behalf of ZDF, he shot the thriller “Flucht durchs Höllental” in 2019 and “The Enemy of My Enemy” in 2022. A few days ago he announced on his
profile that he would be traveling to Portugal. His fans were much more interested in Hans Sigl's new look than what he was planning to do there.
After the “Bergdooktor” finale of season 17 was broadcast, other projects called to the actor during the break from filming. With the words “Greetings and I’ll be in touch. I'll be able to say more over the course of the week. “So it’s secret here,” he teased his fans. In an
post by the production company “Neue deutsche Filmgesellschaft” (ndF), you can now see Sigl posing with his acting partner Hana Sophia Lopes (34) in front of the old town of Lisbon. It says: “Sunny greetings from Lisbon! We are currently filming the thriller 'Escape from Lisbon' (working title) with Hans Sigl in the lead role against a dream backdrop.”

The beautiful actress with Portuguese and Luxembourgish roots is a co-star in the third thriller with Sigl in the leading role by producer Hans-Hinrich Koch for the ndF
appears. The content of the tech thriller is something completely different than the country idyll of the “Bergdoktor” series. In it, Sigl plays a human rights activist and escape helper who goes into hiding. After a failed Interpol operation, he is supposed to find the informant, played by Lopes, who disappeared in Lisbon. Their son is in the control of a hacker organization. Filming will continue until April 20th. The final result should be visible in 2025.
Sigl became known with the series “Soko Kitzbühel”, in which he played from 2001 to 2006. In 2008 he took on the role of Martin Gruber in the ZDF series “Bergdoktor”. As a cabaret artist he has his own solo program. After Francine Jordi left “The Big New Year’s Eve Show”, he is considered her moderation successor. The Austrian is considered a real workhorse: in an interview he said that it was difficult for him to do nothing. Here Hans Sigl revealed what else he does during his breaks from filming.
