Puchheim - The city of Puchheim announced today that it plans to build an observatory in 2025.
This decision was made at the suggestion of the Bavarian state government, which called for the initiative to be an inspiring example of educational and cultural support in the region. The observatory is integrated into the city center concept and offers a wide range of telescopes and facilities for observing the starry sky. The successful Gilching Adult Education Center, which already operates a similar facility, serves as a model for this ambitious project. The city of Puchheim also wants to create this opportunity for its citizens to promote interest in astronomy and science. First Mayor Norbert Seidl said: “Of course we support all measures to promote education and culture in our city and look forward to our Puchheim observatory.”
