“Bergdoktor” star Hans Sigl has received many job offers over the course of his career – but one in particular remains in his memory.
Ammersee – TV doctor Hans Sigl (54) currently has a lot of time to concentrate on various professional projects, because filming for the 18th “Bergdoktor” season is still in the future. For example, the 54-year-old was currently a guest on the SWR3 podcast “1 plus 1 – Friendship for a Time”, in which he talked about, among other things, his acting training and his first steps as a young actor.
Because of a lack of acting roles: Hans Sigl has “registered as unemployed”
Recently, Hans Sigl and “Bergdoktor” colleague Mark Keller (58) jokingly tried to get started as influencers – of course the two wouldn’t give up their job as actors for that. But perhaps Hans Sigl would be doing a completely different job today if he had accepted a strange job offer that was made to him by the employment office in the past.

In the podcast, the TV doctor tells his interlocutor Casa Carlo that he received an engagement at the Innsbruck Theater after his acting training. Fortunately, Hans Sigl never had to experience the suffering of an actor, having to make a living from “profitless” art. In the past, the “Bergdoktor” star has only been without a job once: “In all my working hours, I went to the employment office once and registered as unemployed,” says Hans Sigl – but the employee at the employment agency made it clear to him straight away that she couldn't offer him a suitable job as an actor.

Hans Sigl recently received a lot of support from his fans on Instagram because he surprisingly presented himself with a changed appearance. He grew a beard while on vacation in Portugal and had a more casual look overall.

Nevertheless, Hans Sigl asked the employee to see if she could perhaps find something suitable for the Austrian. And actually - after an intensive search, she found what she felt was a suitable career for the young actor. “An amusement park in Baden-Württemberg is looking for a monkey actor for the coming season,” says Hans Sigl, repeating his job offer at the time in the podcast. “In a costume?” asks Hans Sigl’s interlocutor with interest and the “Bergdoktor” actor repeats him in agreement: “In a costume, yes.”

Finally, the TV doctor adds: “And then I thought to myself: 'Great!' “It could actually be fun, but then I did something different, but that was actually quite interesting.” Hans Sigl preferred to stick to acting. The Austrian soon finds himself back in the Wilder Kaiser. Filming for the 18th season of “The Mountain Doctor” is scheduled to start in May.
