The Villarceaux estate reopens its doors this weekend for a new season, this time without holding its breath. No more uncertainties about its future, this exceptional site is now the subject of major projects on the part of the region, which manages it. And although we will have to wait a little to observe major projects, new developments are announced from 2024.
“Starting this year, there is a real effort to attract people from the region and beyond to Villarceaux,” assures regional councilor (LR) Florence Portelli. The cultural season has been strengthened, after being significantly reduced for a period. Remember that the region once thought about giving up the exploitation of this 65 ha estate, believing that it cost too much to maintain. The community finally reversed course, unveiling at the end of 2022 an ambitious deployment program aimed at making Villarceaux a sort of “Villa Medicis of Val-d’Oise”, welcoming artists in residence and cultural events.
