The local association of the Independent Citizens' List in Königsdorf recently organized an expert event on the topic: new heating law.

Königsdorf – Around 25 interested citizens recently came to an information event organized by the UBL in the traditional costume clubhouse in the municipality of Königsdorf, according to the press release from Marlies Woisetschläger (UBL). The topic was quite explosive and was always hotly debated in the media and the public: the federal government's new heating law.

Energy transition: New heating law should advance this

This is intended to promote the transition in the area of building heating from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources in the spirit of the energy transition, among other things through massive funding programs. “However, there is still massive uncertainty among large parts of the population about what to do with old fossil-based heating systems,” emphasized Woisetschläger.

The guest speaker Andreas Scharli, energy manager at Energiewende Oberland, which as a community foundation is significantly involved in this area, provided significantly more clarity in this regard.

EWO energy expert Scharli presents facts and figures on energy requirements

At the beginning of his presentation, Scharli explained the facts regarding energy requirements and important energy sources in the district using data specifically determined for the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district. He then went into more detail about the new law, including the 65 percent rule on the prescribed proportion of renewable energy in the amount of heat provided by a heating system. This was followed by an outline of modern heating systems with a focus on different approaches to heat pump solutions.

UBL Königsdorf: What funding opportunities does heating modernization bring with it?

Finally, Scharli addressed the topic of state funding for heating modernization. There are funding pots with a basic funding of 30 percent, which can, however, increase to up to 70 percent for owner-occupiers. However, the total amounts are capped.
