To celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Entente Cordiale, two sections of the 1st and 2nd Republican Guard Infantry Regiments will take part in the ceremony alongside guards from F Company Scots Guards.
A cross relief since, at the same time, in Paris, grenadiers of the British royal house - sixteen members of No. 7 Company Coldstream Guards -, wearing their traditional fur caps, will be associated with the relief of the Republican guards at the 'Elysium. The presidency underlines that
“this is the first time in the history of the Élysée that a foreign troop has been invited to participate in this military ritual”
