“Let’s Dance” candidate Mark Keller apparently didn’t actually want to take part in the dance show – but then “Bergdoktor” colleague Hans Sigl came.

Cologne - Actor and singer Mark Keller (58) is currently delighting his fans as a participant in “Let's Dance”. Together with professional dancer Kathrin Menzinger (35), he always performs quickly on the dance floor and danced his way a step further in the fifth episode on April 5th. But as it now turns out, it was apparently not his own idea to take part in the dance show.

Mark Keller on “Let’s Dance”: “Bergdoktor” co-star Hans Sigl has something to do with it

“Bergdoktor” colleague Hans Sigl (54), who once received a crazy job offer from the employment office, kept his fingers crossed for Mark Keller on “Let’s Dance” and invited him to an Insta-Live on the day of the show. “How is the journey on 'Let's Dance'?” he wanted to know from the 58-year-old. “I knew it wouldn’t be a walk in the park,” replied Keller, adding that Sigl was partly responsible for his participation in “Let’s Dance”.

“He said: 'Mark, you have to do this'. I said 'Boy, this is taking up so much time and then I'll have injuries...' and then he said 'No, no! You have to go there!' And then I said: 'Then let's do it.'" But it is actually very tiring and you train every day from nine o'clock until late in the evening. You have to learn a new dance in a very short time - not forgetting the posture and choreography.

Mark Keller considers Hans Sigl to be a “gigantic” candidate for “Let’s Dance” 2025

Keller also added that he was lucky to be with Kathrin Menzinger, but she also demanded things: “There are carrots and sticks!” He then tried to give Hans Sigl a comeback and praised his dancing skills. Keller emphasized that Sigl would be an “absolutely gigantic candidate” for “Let’s Dance” next year.

“But we’re talking about you today because you’re on the show, Mark,” Sigl hastened to nip Keller’s ambitions in the bud. Whether the last word has already been said or whether Mark Keller will ultimately make sure that Hans Sigl is actually in the next “Let’s Dance” season? “Bergdoktor” fans would certainly be happy about this. There was an embarrassing breakdown in the last show: the “Let's Dance” speaker made a mistake in the broadcast.
