Erding – Presenting extraordinary cars, seeing and being seen, talking shop about car technology and having relaxed conversations with like-minded people, that was the thing on Saturday at the Volksfestplatz. The Tuning Club Erding invited people to the tuning meeting and opened the season with great success.

Chairman Markus Elbl estimates that more than 1,200 participants came to present their highly polished and mostly elaborately and expensively redesigned treasures from numerous car brands.

Tuning meetings are popular events for car fans. It's all about individual vehicle modifications and the show of the most extraordinary cars. By making structural changes, the owners want to optimize the power and performance of their treasures or adapt them to their own wishes. This includes all modifications, from window films to wide rims to a lowered chassis.

Many vehicles, mostly looking completely normal from the outside, had something special under the hood: with souped-up engines, they could have an output of 200 hp. Equally popular is an enormous sound from modified exhaust systems. Whoever let their engine roar loudest during the decibel measurement (sound pressure measurement: pressing the accelerator pedal while stationary) was rewarded with a trophy. #And in some of the meticulously maintained and often modified interiors of the vehicles, the basses boomed from huge systems - at the expense of the trunk. Admiring glances from the guests are a recognition, but so are the audience's rating points for particularly successful models, whose owners were then also rewarded with trophies.

It was important for the tuning fans to come together, exchange experiences and get suggestions from like-minded people. The Tuning Club Erding, founded by Christian Brencher, has existed since 2015 and is considered the largest organizer of tuning meetings in southern Germany. “Since our founding, we have organized more than 40 major events with over 50,000 visitors and over 25,000 cars,” says Chairman Elbl. The end of the season on October 19th will also take place in Erding.
