on Saturday . The damage that would have occurred in the event of a possible detonation is currently being investigated. The item has been secured - the danger has been averted. A drunken suspect was arrested. According to the newspaper, it is the tenant of the apartment. The investigation is ongoing, police said.

There was a major police operation in Halle on Saturday due to suspicions that a bomb was being built in an apartment. Since a risk to tenants cannot be ruled out, more than 50 residents were evacuated from their homes. The police announced this further in the evening.
According to police reports, the officers were informed by eyewitnesses around 11:30 a.m. that a 36-year-old man was making racist comments from an apartment building on Schlosserstrasse and threatening passers-by with a rifle. When the man's apartment was checked, the weapon turned out to be a toy gun. According to police information, the drunken suspect was arrested. In addition, the officers found several suspicious objects in the 36-year-old's apartment.
