A hearing on the extension of detention for the rapists of the demonstrators at last night's demonstration in Kaplan will begin this morning (Sunday) at the court in Tel Aviv. Before the hearing, his lawyer Roy Keren said that "it was not a deliberate run over" and that "a mechanical malfunction in the electric vehicle caused the vehicle to accelerate without the driver being able to stop, while doing everything possible to avoid running over protesters."
The lawyer also said that his client "has nothing against the demonstrators, and the attempt to compare a political-nationalist touch to an inappropriate event, surely the facts will not be known yet." He added: "The rampage of public figures from the entire political spectrum is dangerous and leads to unrest, and I would expect no judgmental statements to be issued at this stage, since these are the ones that lead to conflict between brothers and parties."

In the documentation of the moment of the stampede last night, and the moments before it, the passengers of the vehicle and the driver are seen cursing the protesters who are walking around them and making it difficult for them to continue their journey. At one point, the driver was even seen getting out of his vehicle and cursing some of the protesters. A policeman who was at the scene blocked him and put him back in the driver's seat. Then, the officer is seen moving forward and trying to direct the driver to get him out of the demonstration area. However, the driver accelerated his vehicle and hit several protesters who were standing in his way. In the incident, five pedestrians were run over, including a 50-year-old woman in a moderate condition, and four injured in a minor condition.
Dors is a former soccer player who currently serves as a recognized coach in the lower leagues. In the video that was published, his wife is also seen, who previously in an interview with her declared that "I am Sara Netanyahu of League A". On the personal Facebook pages of the two, they identify themselves as loyal supporters of the Likud and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
