Erding – Diving is part of the important voluntary work of the water rescue services. The so-called “diving license” must be renewed annually. The mandatory event for divers and signalmen took place on the premises of the BRK district association in Freising. 18 participants from the BRK water rescue service in the district went there.
The diving training could look forward to an anniversary. Course leader Michael Pulczynski, an experienced instructor in the “Diving” teaching group in the Upper Bavaria district association, conducted his 40th course.
Almost 50 divers and signalmen from the Erding, Freising, Ebersberg and Neuburg/Do district associations. and Weilheim took part in the event.
Instructor Pulczynski pointed out the dangers of drift diving, highlighted the importance of proper cleaning and disinfection of the regulators, or provided examples of malfunctions in the regulators.
The journey to Freising was successful with “obstacles”: a water rescue vehicle was called to provide first aid to a medical emergency shortly after taking off from Erding. After being handed over to the emergency services, they were able to continue their journey. The volunteer water quails are highly qualified and therefore versatile.
