The leader of Truckers
Pablo Moyano
again demanded this Monday that the Ministry of Economy approve the salary increase agreed upon between the union and the businessmen in the sector, something that has been delayed by the official portfolio and that generated a threat of strike that could end be defined this Thursday.
"
Who is (Minister Luis) Caputo to get involved in an agreement between private parties?
They talk so much about freedom. I would recommend that he get on a truck, stay away from home for a month, travel to Brazil, trip to Chile, with all that that implies. Let's see if a truck driver does not have to earn a decent salary as has been signed," declared the deputy general secretary of the transport union in an interview with Radio 10.
In March, the National Federation of Truck Drivers agreed with the representatives of the business chambers a salary increase of 45% in two tranches: 25% in March and 20% in April.
However, the Ministry of Labor headed by Julio Cordero has not yet approved the joint agreement with the argument that the agreement reached between the union and the employers exceeds the limit imposed by the Ministry of Economy.
