Okay, with the massive success of the Eras tour, Taylor Swift is really no surprise on this list. But what about the other top earners?
When you talk about the richest people in the world, the first names that often come to mind are Bernard Arnault, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos. What is particularly noticeable here is that usually only the richest MEN are thought of. This is certainly also because they are always in the news. However, little is said about the richest women in the world.
In a world in which wealth is still often associated with men, a new era will begin in 2024. In addition to Taylor Swift, other notable and famous women are entering the stage of the Forbes billionaires list.
But it's also important to emphasize that despite the progress women have made on the Forbes list, they are still a minority on it. Of the 2,781 billionaires worldwide, women make up only 13.3%. Although this represents an increase compared to last year (then the list was only 12.8% female), there is clearly still a lot of room for equality for women.
A step in this direction is taken by an icon who is on the Forbes billionaires list for the first time: Taylor Swift. As one of the most successful singers in the world, Swift has not only taken the charts by storm (by the way, find out quickly which Taylor Swift album reflects your personality). She also proves that she has what it takes to be a businesswoman. She has earned her estimated fortune of $1.1 billion primarily through her music and concerts.
