A handwritten love letter, a heart pendant necklace and a prayer arrangement are just some of the thousands of items collected from the festival areas that were held in the Gaza Envelope on the eve of the October 7th attack - "Nova" and "Passidak". Personal belongings, articles of clothing, and many bunches of keys that are unlikely to have any use left. Many of the items have been returned in recent months to the survivors and family members of the victims - this is what the police informed today (Monday) and invited the public to enter the dedicated website they set up to return the lost items to their owners.

"During the last few months, the police, together with citizen volunteers and Zaka volunteers, worked to sort, clean and map the items, in order to return them to their owners. "All the objects were first housed in the Marlug - of which, as mentioned, thousands of identified items were returned to their owners, or to the victims' family members," the police said.

They also added that "the ILC, in cooperation with the technology division of the police, worked during these months to establish a unique website, where photographs of all the objects left by the police, which lack identification marks, were uploaded, in the hope that through them it would be possible to return them to their owners."

Citizens who identify items that belong to them or their family members will be required to submit a request using a form on the website - and will be forced to wait a period of two months - to make sure there is no other claimant for that item. Then, the item will be taken to the police station at the request of its owner, where it will be returned to him.

The police emphasized: "Since a large part of the items have great emotional value, we ask that any person who requires a certain item, perform all the necessary checks to make sure that the item does indeed belong to him and belongs to its rightful owners. The Israel Police and Yalakh Blahav 433 share in the great sorrow of the bereaved families, Hugs and express their condolences and strengthen the hands of all those who experienced the difficult events."
