Chaotic weekend in Viry-Chatillon (Essonne). Two days after the death of Shemseddine, 15, beaten to death outside his Sablons college, a new brawl between teenagers occurred this Sunday, April 7. Another boy aged 15 was injured with fists and crutches. An investigation is underway.
The events occurred between 4 and 5 p.m. this Sunday, along the N 7. The firefighters were called to an injured and unconscious victim in the ice rink parking lot. It was the boy's mother who discovered him on the asphalt. Suffering from various traumas, the teenager was hospitalized in Longjumeau late in the afternoon. His days are not in danger.
The Juvisy police officers begin their investigative work. A scenario appears: that of a bad encounter between the victim and a group of people. This Sunday, the 15-year-old boy was with friends. Together, they headed to the ice rink. Except the group notices that a car is following them. The next moment, young people get out. One shows off a crutch, another has a knife in his hand.
Beaten with fists and crutches
What followed was a pursuit of the 15-year-old boy by “three to four individuals”, according to the witnesses’ account. The victim was caught, attacked, then hit with fists and a crutch, which “broke under the violence of the blows”, specifies a police source. In bad shape, the teenager still managed to warn his mother, who would have arrived immediately to put the attackers to flight.

An investigation into “violence in meetings” was opened on Sunday evening and entrusted to the Juvisy police station as well as to SIPJ 91 (Interdepartmental Judicial Police Service). No suspects have been arrested at this time. According to the first elements brought to our attention, the victim knew she was threatened after messages received the previous days.
It is impossible at this stage to establish any link between this fight and the one which led to the death of Shemseddine, 15, earlier in the week, still in Viry-Chatillon. The boy had been beaten to death as he left Sablons college by several people. Four suspects, including an adult, were indicted for “assassination” in connection with this case.
