Train travelers on the way to Bremen or Hanover had to prepare for delays in the morning. The route was closed because there were people near the tracks - wearing high-visibility vests.
Bremen - Commuters needed a lot of patience because of a track closure between Hanover and Bremen on Monday morning. The regional trains on the route were temporarily stopped in the morning because at least three activists wearing high-visibility vests were near the track bed, a federal police spokeswoman said. The closure was lifted shortly before 8 a.m., but there could still be delays during the morning.
According to the police, the closure was related to a protest by climate activists at the Mercedes factory in Bremen. On Monday morning, several people chained themselves to the tracks to stop car transports. dpa
