In “The Quiz Champion” on ZDF, a lot of knowledge was once again tested. But Bastian Pastewka subsequently discovered an incorrect question. This not only upset moderator Johannes B. Kerner, but also changed the entire course of the evening.

Berlin – The cleverest quizzers came together again on Saturday evening (September 30th) for “The Quiz Champion”. In the ZDF format they compete against prominent experts in various areas. Bastian Pastewka (51) was responsible for the topic of “film and television”. He took a particularly close look at the questions and actually identified a mistake that caused chaos for moderator Johannes B. Kerner (58) and throughout the show.

Bastian Pastewka reveals errors in “The Quiz Champion”: Johannes B. Kerner in panic

This time, Beatrice Schröder, among others, took part in “The Quiz Champion”, with which ZDF recently achieved good ratings. Actually, her question in the “Film and Television” topic block was already considered to be answered incorrectly and she had to quiz her competitor in the play-off in the final. But then Bastian Pastewka subsequently noticed a serious mistake in a question: “'No one skins like Don Camillo' is not from the seventies. I know this is secondary here, but I'm just asking. Because the question was offensively about the seventies. “I just want to know that we don’t have any problems afterwards,” he told Johannes B. Kerner.

In fact, the year was not decisive, but the question is still considered to be incorrect. “Now the only question is how we deal with the situation. In special cases, we have a notary,” Kerner intervened and tried to get the “tricky situation” under control. “The mood is fucked up, I know, but somehow I didn't want that -“ Pastewka spoke up again, but was interrupted by laughter and clapping from the audience.

Wrongly asked question on “The Quiz Champion”: What was it about?

The hotly debated question in “The Quiz Champion” was “Which Italian played the leading role in films like “My Name is Nobody” and “Nobody Looks Like Don Camillo” in the 1970s?” Beatrice Schröder's answer was Bud Spencer, which was actually the case about Terence Hill. However: While “My Name is Nobody” was published in 1974, “Keiner haut wie Don Camillo” was only published in 1984 and is therefore not from the seventies.

Notary intervenes: “The Quiz Champion” course changes completely on the home stretch

Ultimately the notary Dr. Jacobi was connected and confirmed that Pastewka's comment was correct. “My gut feeling might be that the answer doesn't depend on that, but I can't just assume that,” explained the lawyer and said: “That's why I would have a hard time saying that we'll ignore that, but I would think that it is It would be more correct to ask the question anew.”

That's exactly how it was done in the end: Beatrice Schröder got a second question on the subject of "film and television" and was actually able to answer it correctly. With that, the play-off was over and a single question decided her victory. The candidate won the title of “Quiz Champion” and a prize of 100,000 euros.

Another TV highlight was also shown on TV a few days ago: The German Television Prize was awarded - but the opening was mercilessly torn apart by the viewers.
