A hunting dog's search for a hunted game came to a tragic end.
Steinkirchen - The four-legged friend was hit in the Grahbruck/Kögning area (municipality of Steinkirchen) and was so seriously injured that a veterinarian from Taufkirchen had to put him down.
The Dorfen police say that a driver contacted them on Sunday morning about a seriously injured dog. A patrol found the dog and took him to the vet - without success.
The investigation revealed that the hunter had deliberately let the dog off the leash to search. The animal's injuries only lead to the conclusion that it must have been hit by a vehicle. However, the driver did not report to the police. They are now asking for information about the person responsible by calling (0 80 81) 9 30 50. ham
